19 Lay not up for yourselves
treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither
moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
We can "lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven" by spending our money
                                    in support of God's purposes.
We see, in the
media, much evidence that national and world rulers cannot be trusted.
And it is these people that write the banking regulations.
Speaking off the top of my head, I have heard, but cannot confirm, that if our nation were to default
on national debt obligations, that citizen's property can be confiscated for payment of those obligations.
So, it is much better to "lay up
for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal."
