I know I should be excited about the grandkids coming from out of town, but I was
rather apprehensive about the 3 day weekend ahead.
The boy four and girl
eight are a challenge.
Especially the four year old boy.
He has to try every light switch, every door handle, every thing that can be grabbed and fiddled
with, or moved out of place, he will surely do it.
But, I definitely prayed
for God's help - and he did provide.
Thank God my wife is really into this
grandkids thing - she is great.
And my adult son came over several evenings to help
"ride herd."
Their parents, my daughter and husband, do NOT attend church,
but one of my other adult sons and his wife often take them, as does their other grandmother.
Praise God, they ASKED if we would be going to church - WOW.
We did
take them, and thank God, they were well behaved in their classes.
I should remember
my brother's sad remark, that all his friends speak of their grandkids coming over, but my brother does not a have any - so
far anyway. I guess I should be thankful.
Psalm 127 (maybe Grand-folks can
use this too) says:
4 As arrows
are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed,
but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
